Custom 1500 Watt Military Power Supply

This military power supply was custom designed for a military helicopter application. The application required the power supply to operate in a high-temperature environment and be impervious to shock and vibration. It was designed to provide two outputs (5V and 28V) for a total of 1500 watt. Additionally, the power supply was required to be conduction-cooled and baseplate mounted for integrating it onto part of the frame structure.

As with all of our military-grade power supplies, we design them to meet all relevant military standards and specs. The most common military power supply specs are MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-1275. Although this supply did not require MIL-STD-901, we are able to design military power supplies to meet navy requirements for high shock sustainability.
