About our DO-160 Power Supplies

Originally, we designed and developed custom, build to spec DO-160 power supplies for aviation and airborne applications for OEM’s serving the commercial aircraft industry. We still do today. However, we established a “standard line of “aviation-grade” power supplies that are designed to comply with Boeing and Airbus’s aeronautics specifications required for operation on their planes.

Our AGPS-1P series platform employs high efficiency, power factor corrected module to provide the isolated front end for this product line and complies with DO-160’s Section 16. The IFE incorporates an EMI filtering stage designed to meet parts of Section 20 & 21 under DO160. Also incorporated into the front end is transient and surge protection designed to meet Section 22 & 23 of DO-160. The back end utilizes high efficiency, dc to dc converters to provide the regulated DC output(s). This design allows us to easily change outputs to meet differing applications, essentially, a tailor made power supply for the OEM without the expensive NRE charges.

This designed series is also designed to meet shock and vibration standards as applicable to DO-160 power supplies. The AGPS DO-160 aviation power supply series is conduction cooled via baseplate and can reliable operate at full rated power with a baseplate temperature from -40°C to +85°C. The baseplate is also used to mount the power supply. The standard input/output connectors for this series are the D38999 mil-circular connector; however, it can be fitted with optional D-Sub connectors. As with all of our series, this can be customized to meet a variety of applications because we can modify output voltages, connector types, power ranges, and mechanical packaging to tailor to your specific requirements.
