Hot Swap Redundant ATX Power Supply Rack System
Application: Hi-Rel, industrial server system requiring a 1+1 hot-swap, redundant power supply unit to provide continuous ATX output voltages to their backplane.
Project Abstract: The customer required a power supply rack system to provide different levels of total output power depending on the configuration of the computer. Some lower-end systems might only draw 700 watts and do not need the power of some higher-end systems that could draw up to 1200 watts. The customer wanted to be able to load different power ratings to match the system’s power consumption. Additionally, the power supply system had to be hot-swappable and the complete system be contained in a 1U rack mountable chassis.
